Once Mary pulls all the petals off of Garry's rose, Ib should return to Garry and obtain his lighter. After that, Ib should enter the room containing Mary's painting. Mary will appear and attempt to stab Ib with her palette knife, and Ib should run away towards Mary's painting to burn it. After successfully burning the painting, Ib should head back to the pink house to exit the Sketchbook. Ib should then head towards the Fabricated World painting and jump into it.
Ib will find herself back in the real world, with no memories of her adventure through the Fabricated World. Ib should then head to the The Hanged Man. Instead of The Hanged Man being there, a new painting titled Forgotten Portrait is in its place, depicting a "sleeping" Garry. When Ib examines it, Ib's mother will come to tell Ib that they should look at paintings together. Ib will look at the painting one last time before leaving. The screen will scroll up to view the painting before fading to black.
The screen will then display the name of the ending.
- Garry's doom counter must be high enough in order for him to die. Having Garry act aggressively towards the blue dolls and failing the Doll Room raises his doom counter.
- Ib cannot retrieve Garry's lighter immediately after he tells Ib to go on ahead. Ib has to witness Mary plucking all the petals off of Garry's rose first before going back to get the lighter.
